Northern Chinese were the first who started cooking this braised five-spice pork belly;
it is now a popular Asian food. This Chinese cuisine is customarily served with steamed bread known as Man Dou; another way of eating this dish is with rice.

Ingredients
2 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. sugar
2 lb. belly pork sliced
5 tbsp. dark soy sauce
2 tsp. five-spice powder
1 qt. water
1 tsp. salt
Cooking Method
Heat the oil in the wok and add some sugar. Start cooking until the sugar is caramelizes and turn light brown. Next add the pork slices. Flip and turn the pork slices in the mixture until they are well coated.
Soy sauce, five-spice powder, water, and salt is then added. Using the lid to cover the wok and gently over a low heat for 40 minutes. turing once at twice duing braising. If the sauce is drying you can add more water.
Adjust the seasoning by adding some soy sauce to taste, then it is ready to be served.
